Isy Aboagye is a gifted vocalist whose powerful voice and emotional depth captivate audiences, making her an audience favourite.

Her love for the Blues shines through as she draws inspiration from genres including soul, jazz and pop. She’s played at local festivals and internationally at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.

Recently, she released her first single "Sleeping Dogs" on all platforms.

17 year old Diana spent most of her life in Ukraine before having the good fortune to come to Canada.

She’s passionate about music and it’s been close to her heart since childhood. She plays the bandura, a traditional Ukrainian instrument that she brought with her from Ukraine.

B is a 23 year old multidisciplinary GTA artist. Inspired by Funk, Jazz, Folk, Neo-Soul, R&B, and Indie Rock. Guitar is her primary musical partner, performing at various events, channelling her innermost feelings and experiences into soothing melodies people connect to with ease.

Accessibility for equity deserving youth has been a core principle both in her educational and artistic career. B believes programs like SHINE! support young artists who may not be able to develop their artistic practice due to financial constraints, and hopes to pay it forward as her career progresses.

After years of writing, B is finally ready to create her first ep and is excited for more live performances in 2025.

A passionate singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Beth Black has been composing and performing original music since 2019.

Self-taught on guitar, piano, and ukulele, she turned to music as both a creative outlet and a source of resilience through hardships. She’s remained dedicated to her craft, performing at school concerts, musicals, and PACT music events.

With the SHINE bursary, Beth hopes to invest in recording equipment and studio sessions to bring her original music to life.

At just 14 years old, Arthur demonstrated remarkable dedication to his craft. A talented guitarist and aspiring drummer, his passion for music has been shaped by his journey from Brazil to Canada, where he has immersed himself in self-taught learning and school performances.

He continues to push his muisical boundaries, practicing for hours daily and earning recognition as one of his school’s top musicians.

With the SHINE bursary, Arthur hopes to invest in a mesh drum kit, sound isolation for his room, and recording equipment to further develop his skills and creativity.
